Harpoon Data Partners runs this site from Chicago. Here's what the forms collect and what happens to it.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form. The appraisal form asks about your company (name, website, role, status, size, history, the kinds of systems it used, industry, customer type, known restrictions, any offers, timeline and preference) and how to reach you (name, email and, if you choose, phone). The buyer form asks for your company, your contact details and what kinds of data you buy.
The forms never ask for company data itself. Please don't paste or upload any.
We also record which link brought you here, such as a tag on a link we sent you or the site you came from. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure. This site doesn't use advertising trackers. We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn't use third-party cookies and identifies a visit by a hash of the request that is discarded after 24 hours.
Why we use it
- To send you an indicative read and follow up about representing you.
- To tell buyers on our first-look list about packages that match what they buy.
- To send the Data Deal Sheet, only if you ticked the box. Every issue has an unsubscribe link.
Who else handles it
We don't sell your information, and we never name a seller to a buyer without the seller's written approval. Service providers process it for us: Vercel hosts the site, Supabase stores form submissions, and Resend sends the emails.
How long we keep it
As long as it's useful for the purposes above, or until you ask us to delete it.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete what you've sent, email preston@harpoondp.com. We'll reply within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
